Other than an outdoor performance of Shakespeare’s ‘As you like it’ a couple of weeks back, my festival going has been a bit non existant this year… So today it was off to the Foodie Festival for some fine food – and meeting up with Nicci Kitchin before seeing brother…

Good old BBC
Isn’t the BBC marvelous – could make my dinner this evening and watch Eastenders live on the web on the laptop. No TV in the kitchen you see… Okay, my choice of program was quite limitted, but it’s bubblegum for the brain. B
Plumbing skills
Emergency at the flat last night when the electric shower stopped working. Pain in the butt, but these things happen. After an hour or so testing water pressure and that power was getting to the shower itself I gave up and went and bought a new one from B+Q. Started…

Back to work proper now, was back on Monday, then two days of first aid refresher course with the Red Cross here in Edinburgh. Holidays were great – need to book some more now! Toulouse was a great hotel, made more affordable by a superbreak voucher from mum (thanks mum).…
