The Wire

We received The Wire : Complete HBO Season 1 [DVD] as a pressie from chums (at Christmas I think…). Wasn’t a series we had ever really come across but was purchased as we were known to be fans of “24”. Anyway, first episode was a bit hard to get into but since then we have whizzed through several episodes a night. It’s set in Baltimore following a hotch-potch police team set up to tackle the drug dealing that appears rife!

Very gritty/graphic but well played by an unknown cast. Its an 18 cert so plenty of swearing/violence/nudity, but all in its appropriate place…

Only another 4 seasons to go if we feel the need.
