One of the jobs I hate the most about DIY is doing the sealant…
After spending ages tiling/grouting/fitting vinyl/worktops/etc you have to apply sealant in various places to waterproof joints.
I can never make it neat. It always ends up spreading too far onto the surfaces I am sealing (probably using too much). I use the wet finger method to smooth it out, but then you end up with a sticky finger which I end up wiping on my other hand. Then you can’t get your hands clean as the damn silicon repels water (that’s it’s job after all)
I suppose I should be better at it after the amount of practice I’m getting…
