My Nike Air trainers have finally reached the end of their life after oh, I dunno, ABOUT 8 YEARS!!!
They were bought in a footlocker in New York in 1999 during a trip to see the first of the final trilogy of Star Wars movies – The Phantom Menace -which is actually the first in the timeline. Does this make sense. If not then come on – you need to watch the movies!
I wonder if Mike’s have lasted as long as I’m sure he bought a different pair at the same time.Anyway – they got tromped around New York that visit, and Orlando visits too I’m sure.
Since then they have had their retirement as my office shoe to put on when I’ve biked/cycled to work.
So RIP Nike Airs – you’ve served me well.

They did go through a slightly smelly phase in USA after getting soaked on Popeye and Bluto’s River Rapids but recovered from that.
Their demise was more linked to the sole starting to come off. Certainly got value for money out of them though
