Didn’t quite last until 4am like Lorraine on her Hen do, but made it past 3am which is the latest I’ve been out in a looooooong time. You have to realise dear reader that some of us had been up early-doors to go karting from 9:30am (congrats to Hamish for winning btw)
So after a brief respite in the afternoon we all just about managed to congregate in Walkabout in the Omni centre before heading to Jollys in Elm Row for some top notch pizza abd chat.
Afterwards – eventually – we stumbled in to The Jam House for some more booze and chat and odd goings on…
Was great to catch up with mates that I don’t make enough effort to see the rest of the time – hope you all good a time.
So in no particular order and in best radio phone in tradition
“I’d just like to say hello to a few people”
- Mike – best man – for organising the day
- Hamish – for winning the karting
- Paul L – for looking after me (I think…)
- Scoop – for making an appearance from Barcelona!!!
- Dean, Si, and Martin P for attending from early doors
- MartinB and Craig (fellow workers) for making the effort to attend and buy me beers (or JD + cokes)
- MartinQ for amusing all with his dancing
- Gogs for being Gogs
- Greg for making it over from Dunfy
- Gary, Rob and Pacey for looking like a straight version of Right Said Fred
- Mike for being Mike – don’t worry dude – you’ll get the house sold soon. I’ll get Lorraine to think positive thoughts for you both 🙂
- Don Squares for buying wine with the meal – even though he was in London…
- My good neighbour John for keeping an eye on proceedings (Happy birthday for Monday John!)
- Kevin my old flat mate for keeping us going when it was past my bed time
- Bro in law Steven for buying me some strange pink drink in walkabout – no idea what it was but it tasted almost as nice as the San Miguel
- Shell for saying hello just as we were leaving the pub
- Malkie and Craig’s mate Paul for coming out too – cheers dudes
- Allan and John Ryan (Mike’s big bro and 74 year old dad) for beating several folk at the karting – Martin P!!!
I’ll probably have forgotten at least half a dozen folk so somone give me a prod and I’ll remember them – I am a bit hungover after all.
Of course a big thanks to Lorraine for having a blether when I got in the door and for being so understanding when I revealed my boxer shorts had miraculously changed into a red thong during the course of the evening. All above board – a hen party and my chums dared me to do it so off I nipped to the loo to get changed. Picture evidence of the day will be forthcoming and put on my gallery ASAP (I suppose…)
Cheers again to all,
Blm
