Or should that be winterval.
Anyhow, we dragged our poor old tree that we bought last year in from the cold of the back garden. You would think it would be grateful. “Oh no” says the tree and promptly start shedding needles and bugs everywhere. Apparently you should give them a bit of a “shoogle” before bringing them in to get rid of beasties. Never crossed our minds. Its in place now and looking lovely. Pussy cats have managed to avoid climbing it so far. Not sure if that will last though. We’ve even got some outside sparkling lights on the balcony and potted bay tree at the front door. No life size santa, reindeers and sleigh on the roof this year. (or any year btw !)
Got the tree down from the loft at Mum’s too – its over 20 years old which is probably older than some of you readers out there! (yes its artificial in case you didn’t guess…). Its looking resplendant in all its multi-coloured glory.
Christmas feels different this year. With personal things happening last year it was very odd and I guess it will be for many years to come, but this year it is on the mend I think…
