Thought I would treat myself to a new DVD/CD Burner since they are only about £30 now. I remember buying my first Sony CD burner for £115 !!!
Anyhow, eventually got it installed after several busy weeks and burned a music CD from MP3s first of all. No problem. Then tried to burn a demo to it and it appeared to burn okay but verify failed immediately. Changed some settings – more coasters Swapped IDE cables – more coasters. Tried a DVD – another coaster. Upgraded firmware – another coaster. Upgraded Secondary IDE drivers – another coaster Finally gave up as a lost cause and went on amazon to see what I could do about it. Because it was faulty they give you a pre-paid label and barcode to print off on screen that means free postage. And they give you the choice of refund or sending you another. The new one duely arrived in a couple of days before I had got a chance to post the other one back. Works perfectly – hoooooorah Thanks amazon. |
Wow – on checking this out I just noticed that they no longer sell it and the only one available is from another buyer at £69.99!
