My dad passed away on Tuesday 12th July at the Marie Curie Hospice Edinburgh after battling a Brain Tumour diagnosed in November the previous year. The service was at Mortonhall Crematorium on Saturday 16th July and was attended by over 200 family, friends and colleagues past and present.
Mum, Lorna and me would like to say many thanks to all those who attended and paid their respects to Dad. Special thanks to Rev Jared Hay and George Crainer for their fitting words at the funeral.
Over £1200 was raised on the day for the Marie Curie Hospice which we know will be put to good use as the staff there were truly wonderful in their care for Dad, and us, over his last days.

You have my sympathy. As you might know (if my e-mail ever found you) my dad died only three months earlier. It’s an awful feeling, losing a parent. I doubt it is something one ever gets over.
